I have said this year in the blog that both Big Boy’s Neighborhood and The Michael Baisden Show are in trouble. I think Big Boy is an EXCELLENT host BUT the show desperately needs tweaking if it’s to remain national and I expressed it to a former Citadel person of interest and while he agreed (and denied the show was in trouble) his hands were tied. Looks like Rickey Smiley has moved into the building and Big Boy’s boxes are being packed in the process for a new year and a new start at stations: WEAS, WYNN, KBLZ/The Blaze and WMNX. Michael, on the other hand, has gone through an entire year with virtually no promotion. Any corporation that even thinks these shows don’t need consistent promotion have missed the logic train… whooosh! I have heard through the grapevine that the employees are out faster than they get in on the show and that Michael allegedly does not pay very well but expects a lot. I mean, it is urban radio… right? At least the Promo King, Steve Harvey pays but they say he allegedly instructs all sidekicks to stay in their lane and WAY out of his. Have you ever wondered why they never do anything else outside of his show? I have heard that most of these syndicated hosts are like spoiled divas, very demanding and bitchy and I’ve heard that about ALL of them. I can be hired to straighten them out for a fee. Time will tell but I think Baisden could have done himself a huge favor by putting out a book in 2009. “Ride the wave when it’s high or the roar will die.” (I made that last sentence up. Please give all credit and residuals to Kevin Ross when you use it).

YEAH yeah and yeah……………..CANCEL Mike Baisden good riddance to bad rubbish this guy has no clue on 99% of the things he try to talk about. How can you promote education, when you yourself is a drop-out, How can you talk about mentorship and then brag on this 1 young boy who you mentor and leave the part out that your shacked up with his mother.
How can you week after week bad mouth Christianity when you as much about it as most people do Mandarin Chinese? It was the Black church that built most of the historically black colleges, and continues to be a place of hope and healing and love for African Americans. Despite the pimps in the pulpit. Or the 2 pimps on the radio every evening.
I don’t know what Kathy Hughes was thinking about when she hired this fake mysogynistic idiot or that Jay anthony Brown Wanna-be George Willbourn or as he should be called George Boring……
