MTV NETWORKS NAMES NATIONAL TV PERSONALITY DESI SANCHEZ AS THE FACE OF THE ALL NEW MTV2, MAN’S BEST FRIEND
Channel Slated to premier new original programming and daily features

MTV2, Man’s Best Friend, is rolling out a slate of brand defining originals and daily features, naming on-air personality Desi Sanchez as the face of the all-new channel. Distributed in nearly 80 million homes and coming off its highest rated year ever, MTV2 will expand its programming with a new lineup of original shows and blocks that are unapologetically guy.

With the highest concentration of men 12-34 on TV today, MTV2’s new shows include a mix of hip-hop music, guy lifestyle and action sports programming with new series “Rock N Jock”, “Funk Flex Full Throttle”, “Nacho Libre”, “Balls Out Comedy Fridays” and “Sucker Free Sundays”.

Desi Sanchez will be accompanied by a bevy of new on-air talents, including Olympic athlete, Todd Richards, automotive guru, DJ Funkmaster Flex, popular radio personality, DJ Envy, and former Fall Out Boy/Rock Roadie, “Dirty”.

Desi Sanchez is NYC-born and bred TV host, visual artist, and musician, with credits in broadcasting, film, print, and more. In addition to MTV2, Desi Sanchez can be seen weekly nationwide, hosting the FOX & MyNetwork syndicated TV program, LatiNation, representing a new generation of U.S. Latinos. Desi’s talents have also been featured on Music Choice and TMZ.

Her acting credits include the award-winning indie drama JailCity, and Desi’s voice-over talents are featured as the female branding voice of Sirius XM’s Octane Radio.

Named by MAXIM as one of the “15 Hottest Latinas in Music”, Desi is also a classically trained pianist and is working on her first album, a blend of hard rock, pop and Latin, that balances the soothing notes of the piano with wicked guitar riffs.

Rounding things off, Sanchez is also an avid techie who studied graphic and web design at New York City’s School of Visual Arts (SVA), and Desi keeps up her skill set in the traditional arts, with regular painting and portraiture projects.

The combination of these talents with her girl-next-door personality makes Desi Sanchez the hot new face of the new MTV2.
