Mix 106.1 and Harrah’s Philadelphia will host an intimate Goo Goo Dolls acoustic performance for iHeartMedia Philadelphia’s Bid for Breast Cancer initiative. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket will benefit the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the world’s first and largest cancer research organization.
On Saturday, October 22, The Block Entertainment Center at Harrah’s Philadelphia will be the first stop on the band’s worldwide tour to support their latest album Boxes. The exclusive show will kick off at 9 p.m. and it will offer fans a rare storytelling format, providing an inside look into the band’s vast catalog of songs and personal anecdotes about the inspiration behind their music and tour life throughout the years. Goo Goo Dolls’ last acoustic show was their sold out 2014 three-week tour. iHeartMedia Philadelphia’s Mix 106.1 on-air personality Chio will host the show.
Fans 21 and older can go to harrahsphilly.com to purchase tickets prior to the show. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. For more information on the fundraiser, listeners can go to mixphiladelphia, com.
The six iHeartMedia Philadelphia stations have already raised over $10,000.00 dollars during a one week online auction to benefit AACR.
