From Buffalo to Stages Across the Atlantic

Fans are eagerly awaiting as Anthony Casuccio, the man who has quietly become an accomplished international recording artist, considers taking his music from his basement to stages across the Atlantic. Casuccio has performed several stage shows and DJ sets in Buffalo and is in the process of forming a band for a potential East Coast tour, possibly at wineries. His dream includes going on tour, even if it’s a short one, and he even envisions a European tour on the horizon.

A Musical Journey with A&L Duo

Casuccio’s music journey took a significant turn eight years ago when he joined forces with Lana Marie to form the pop-rock duo A&L. Together, they released nine singles, marketing them online with the help of promoters who pitched the songs to radio and streaming platforms. While the music industry in the United States is expensive and heavily regulated, the European market proved more accessible with a smaller investment. Seven of A&L’s songs managed to break into the Top 40 or better, and through this process, Casuccio established relationships with European-based promoters.

Global Reach and Musical Evolution

During the pandemic, he ventured into releasing his singles, leveraging his connections in Europe. Record promoter Alessandro Cicioni, who holds Casuccio in high esteem in Europe, emphasized Casuccio’s attention to detail and his ability to create music with a universal language. Cicioni also noted the potential for Casuccio’s music to reach even farther-reaching markets, including Australia, praising its “super-intelligent irony.”

Guitar-Driven Sound and European Success

Casuccio values feedback from his promoter contacts, often seeking their opinion on which songs will resonate best with their audiences. This feedback guides his efforts in promoting specific tracks. One key piece of feedback was to emphasize the use of guitars, as his primary instrument became a significant selling point in Europe.

Rising Star in Europe

This indie music sensation from Buffalo has seen four of his solo songs listed on European music charts, with “Lighthouse” leading the way, consistently ranking in the top five of the European Indie Music Network charts. Three other songs, “Friends First,” “Not Alone,” and “Love is the Answer,” have made it to the Top 40 on various European charts that primarily track independent releases.

Anthony Casuccio’s musical journey is all the more remarkable considering his impressive life outside of music. He holds a good job as the chair of the music department at Villa Maria College and resides in a comfortable home in East Amherst with his two teenage sons and his mother. Beyond his academic and familial pursuits, he actively engages with the community as the president of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame and operates a successful side business mastering music recordings.

Casuccio’s accomplishments include multiple college degrees, framed certificates honoring his contributions to Grammy-nominated projects, co-founding a small record label, and authoring a book titled “Be Nice” a decade ago. He is known for his warm smile and chill demeanor, which complement his intense ambition. While he may appear as a typical dad, professor, and community leader in Buffalo, online, he’s a rising music star in Europe, interviewed regularly by music websites and magazines.

In his basement recording studio, Casuccio diligently creates music, fixing even the smallest musical mistakes to perfection. His basement studio has become the hub for his indie music sensation status in Europe, a far cry from the standard-issue existence he leads in East Amherst. source

iHeartMedia will celebrate the holiday season across the nation with its annual “iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour Presented by Capital One” – the season’s iconic live music event, which captures the music and holiday spirit on iHeartRadio stations across America and the iHeartRadio app with performances by this year’s biggest artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Usher, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Niall Horan, OneRepublic, AJR, Sabrina Carpenter, Miguel, Jelly Roll, Big Time Rush, NCT DREAM, Flo Rida and more. This year, “The 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour Presented by Capital One” will stop in Tampa, Florida; Dallas/Fort Worth; Los Angeles; Chicago; Detroit; New York; Boston; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; Atlanta; and Miami/Fort Lauderdale.

“Our annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball lineup is one of our most anticipated of the year, and we’re excited to finally share who will be joining us on the road this season,” said Tom Poleman, Chief Programming Officer for iHeartMedia. “This event always showcases the best in pop music and gives our listeners the chance to celebrate the holiday season alongside their favorite artists. iHeartMedia and ABC also announced today a new multi-year agreement for ABC to become the exclusive television broadcast partner for the iconic event. iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour stops will be part of the exclusive network special, airing Dec. 21 at (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST/PST). The special will be available on demand and on Hulu the following day.

“The biggest holiday music event in America is coming to ABC for the first time,” said John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises for iHeartMedia. “Viewers will have a front row seat to experience this multi city tour as it rolls across the country.”

For the ninth straight year, Capital One will be the national presenting partner of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour. Eligible Capital One cardholders will get first access to high-demand tickets and exclusive experiences through a special Capital One cardholder presale in each city and can also redeem rewards for curated ticket packages on Capital One Entertainment.

AUDACY ANNOUNCES NEW WEEKDAY PROGRAMMING FOR THE FAN

Audacy has announced new weekday programming for The Fan Upstate (97.7 FM / 97.1 FM) in Greenville. The current midday show, “The Rob Brown Show,” will move to morning drive and be heard weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET. The station will also begin airing CBS Sports Radio’s “Reiter Than You” with Bill Reiter from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET. Both changes are effective October 2.

As VP Sales, Cressy will be responsible for driving client success, working closely with sellers and the sales management team in growing revenue in the Phoenix region. She will report to Nancie Sullivan, SVP of Sales for iHeartMedia Phoenix.

iHeartRadio Z100’s Jingle Ball 2023 marks the 27th time the event has been at Madison Square Garden, taking place at the iconic venue every year the event has been held since its inception in 1996.

 Z100’s Jingle Ball 2023 is part of the national iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour Presented by Capital One, the season’s biggest annual holiday music event that captures the music and holiday spirit of the iHeartRadio app with performances by this year’s biggest artists in Tampa; Dallas/Ft. Worth; Los Angeles; Chicago; Detroit; New York; Boston; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; Atlanta; and Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. 

iHeartMedia and ABC also announced today a new multi-year agreement for ABC to become the exclusive television broadcast partner for the iconic event.

iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour stops will be part of the exclusive network special, airing Dec. 21 at (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST/PST). The special will be available on demand and on Hulu the following day.

For the ninth straight year, Capital One will be the national presenting partner of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Expansion by PAU Raises $135 Million

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced today that it will break ground next month on a 50,000 square-foot expansion project, which will allow the Museum to better serve its next 14 million visitors from across the country and around the world.

Designed by Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU), the expansion will integrate the iconic original building designed by I.M.

Pei with the urban Cleveland lakefront, while increasing the size of the Museum by one third. With $135 million raised towards the capital campaign, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will begin construction this Fall. 

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame addition, designed by PAU under the leadership of Vishaan Chakrabarti, takes cues from the visual language of Pei’s original 1995 signature glass pyramid while preserving its distinct identity as a Cleveland landmark and activating the surrounding streetscape and lakefront.

The expansion will feature a new entry lobby and publicly accessible space; exhibition spaces, offices, state-of-the-art education center and a 6,000+-square-foot multipurpose venue.

“The renowned architecture of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is symbolic of the innovation and creativity of generations of music icons,” said Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum President & CEO, Greg Harris. “30 years after we broke ground on the original structure we embark on this next chapter in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s legacy, including expanding the museum’s world-class education and exhibition offerings, and we are thrilled to partner with the architectural and design visionaries at PAU, including Vishaan Chakrabarti.” 

“This transformation will expand the Rock Hall’s iconic structure to meet the demands of its evolving mandate: to showcase the past, present and future of rock & roll as the defining sound of each generation’s youth,” said Chakrabarti, Founder and Creative Director of PAU. “Our design welcomes visitors by pulling the forces of the City, the Lake, and Pei’s Pyramid together into a new triangular composition that centers on a dynamic, aural, and inclusive public interior that flows from the streets to the waterfront—a destination that declares this must be the place.”  

PAU’s design reinterprets Pei’s organization of solid shapes “dancing” around a central transparent pyramid. A triangular-shaped building interlocks with and extends outward from the original glass structure.

Specific programmatic elements are articulated as solid shapes asymmetrically arranged under a tilted triangular roof. Clad in black steel and specular granite, the façade evokes Cleveland’s industrial past while representing a contemporary counterpoint to Pei’s design.

The addition sets a new tone for the visitor experience while responding functionally, operationally, and aesthetically to the existing pyramid.

Where the two structures converge, a large publicly accessible interior atrium welcomes visitors, drawing in passersby with circulation pathways that connect the street to an exterior lake promenade. In addition to functioning as an urban pedestrian link, the new venue and exhibition spaces provide greatly increased flexibility to allow for larger exhibitions and events.

By weaving indoor and outdoor public and programmatic spaces, PAU’s design transforms the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame into both a lively new cultural destination as well as a civic gathering space seamlessly integrated with the city.
