iHeartMedia San Diego announced today that it will be flipping two of its AM stations on Thursday, September 1.

XTRA 1360 will move from its current position at 1360 AM to 760 AM where it will become San Diego Sports 760, and utilize the KGB-AM call letters. San Diego Sports 760 will feature the same lineup that listeners were accustomed to on XTRA 1360, now with a vastly greater reach.
“We are committed to delivering an audio sports platform with massive reach for our listeners and partners,” said Noreen Ippolito, President of iHeartMedia’s San Diego/Riverside Region. “Our goal is to reach fans wherever they are through the iHeartRadio App, KGB-FM HD2 simulcast, and on 760 AM’s massive day and night-time signal which can be heard all over the west coast.”
The timing of San Diego Sports 760’s launch coincides with start of football season. As the official radio broadcast partner of San Diego State University Athletics, San Diego Sports 760 will be on hand with live play-by-play coverage of the SDSU Aztecs’ first game at the new Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on Saturday, September 3.
