iHeartMedia announced that Taylor Walet has  been elevated to Area President of the Nebraska-Iowa area, effective immediately. iHeartMedia’s Nebraska-Iowa area has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a  number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing  more than 36 stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and  delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Area President of the  Nebraska-Iowa area, he will add oversight to his portfolio of stations and be responsible  for all operations across the Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport markets. Walet  will also continue to oversee the Sioux City, Omaha, and Ogallala markets, in the  Nebraska area. He will continue to report to Shosh Abromovich, Division President for  iHeartMedia.

“We have an exceptional team of talent and leaders throughout the states of Nebraska and  Iowa,” said Shosh Abromovich, Division President for iHeartMedia Multi-Platform  Group. “The synergy of this new Area will help drive additional cohesion and shared  success. Taylor’s leadership skills, focus on a collaborative and winning culture, along  with attention to our local communities, will drive more success across these six  markets.”

Walet is a media veteran. He joined iHeartMedia in 2007 as a Market President for  iHeartMedia Omaha. Before this, he served as a VP for the National Division of Jacor  Communications, a radio-media corporation, where he managed over 40 radio stations in  seven markets until iHeartMedia acquired the company. In addition, he previously served  as a Director of Sales for Radio One and a Market Manager for Citadel Broadcasting Inc,  along with several other leadership roles across the industry. He is a graduate of the  University of Virginia.

“I am very excited to partner with Joel McCrae and the rest of our iHeartMedia Iowa  leadership team to take advantage of the strengths that Iowa and Nebraska can maximize  by working together,” said Walet.

iHeartMedia is the leading media outlet in the Nebraska-Iowa area with multiple  platforms, including its broadcast stations; live events; data; and its digital businesses and  platforms, including mobile, social and its own iHeartRadio, iHeartMedia’s free all-in one digital music, podcasting and live streaming radio service – with 3 billion app  downloads and more than 160 million registered users.
