Actor Liam Cunningham didn’t hesitate to share the frustration of the actors at the hurried pace of the Game of Thrones’ final season with listeners of the Rick & Brad Show on Rock 100.5 FM KATT in Oklahoma City on Friday, May 17, 2019. Talking prior to the Game of Thrones’ final episode through Envision Networks®’ Guest Booking Service, Cunningham told listeners that it’s like any other cultural TV phenomenon from the past like The Sopranos or Breaking Bad that go out with a high level of criticism.
Discussing if he was prepared for the level of discussion the show has reached, Cunningham said, “We felt the same way that this thing has been taken from us, our ‘baby’ that we’ve been with for years, and sometimes over a decade. People are going to get annoyed and they don’t want it to end. We didn’t want it to end.”
Speaking to the comradery of everyone involved in the show, Cunningham added, “It’s a huge blessing. I think a portion of the reason people loved this show is because they can see the people on the screen loved making it. It’s one of those magical things that the audience picks up on. This was a beautiful perfect storm … it was an absolute joy!”
