More and more people who live in the Atlanta area are describing the once high-end Buckhead section to be one of the most dangerous parts of town. Sunday night, music exec Chaka Zulu and two others were shot in a parking lot of a strip mall during an argument that escalated into the shooting. Zulu is hospitalized and his condition has not been disclosed but one of the other two men, 23-year-old Artez Benton, who was shot did not survive. The shooting took place on Peachtree Road around 11:35 pm in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.
Zulu is best known as rapper Ludacris’ manager and the duo formed Disturbing the Peace records as a subsidiary of Def Jam. Zulu most recently served as Head of Artist & Talent for Spotify and he previously served as VP of Sports and Entertainment Marketing at Monster, the company formerly behind Beats by Dre headphones.
