The Love, Rhythm, & Soul (LRS) tour kicks off nationwide, November 28, 2007 in Atlanta, GA presented by Coors. Headlining this tour is none other than So So Def/Island Music, Grammy award winning songwriter and R&B recording artist Johnta Austin, best known for his work with Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and Janet Jackson. Also featured on the LRS tour is Universal/Motown R&B newcomer, Suai. The house band is Atlanta’s own, PJ Morton Band, under the direction of Grammy-award winning songwriter PJ Morton, best known for his work with India.Arie, Jermaine Dupri, Fred Hammond and Jagged Edge. LRS is branded by inspiration and marked by ambition. It was solely created to offer consumers a one-of-a-kind live music experience that fuses R&B and Soul music genres into one. With gut wrenching vocals, and soul stirring musicians, the LRS tour will be featured not once but twice a year, with the initial kick-off in the early winter months, November & December ’07. The tour will then begin it’s 2008 kick-off during the sizzling summer months of July & August ’08, with it’s finale in November & December ’08.
Through partnering with national consumers, the LRS tour will take place in mid-size venues giving attendee’s an intimate musical experience. Currently partnered with Island Def Jam Music Group, Universal/Motown Records and Coors, the Love, Rhythm, & Soul tour looks to bring today’s most anticipated up and coming R&B musicians to the forefront with a grassroots approach. This newly innovative approach to touring allows the LRS tour to be an ideal platform for consumers to exclusively hear music prior to the mainstream market.
